Residential Extension, Newmarket, Suffolk

Set within a rural location on the outskirts of Newmarket, the design of the existing humble cottage failed to maximise the countryside views. By extending to the side with an oak framed garden room we have created an open plan kitchen dining and entertaining space leading out to an outdoor terrace all on one level. In addition we created a two storey extension to the front to provide a dressing area and ensuite to the master bedroom at first floor level and an entrance with an oak porch worthy of the updated dwelling and its countryside location. The use of traditional materials like oak and flint help the extension sit comfortably next to the existing house and within its rural setting.
